Born in 1950 in honor of Mexican Independence Day, Hornitos’ tequila products capture the spirit of independence in every bottle. Don Francisco, Hornitos’ founder, was a visionary who revolutionized the tequila industry.
The Don was first to coin the term “Reposado”. He established the practice of cooking agaves Hornitos’ now-eponymous “little ovens”, and he was also instrumental in petitioning the Mexican government to establish standards for tequila production. Without him, tequila might as well be made anywhere.
Hornitos’ tradition is to break tradition, all in the name of bettering tequila.
