Founded in 1972 by the descendents of General Manuel Gonzalez (former president of Mexico), Chinaco derives its name from the legendary fighters of the Reform War and French Intervention in the 1800s.

Committed to honoring the “legacy of the warrior spirit”, Chinaco continues to plant and harvest its agave on the Gonzalez ancestral family ranch, and it is the only tequila brand produced in the state of Tamaulipas.

Chinaco’s devotion to planting agave saplings from the same lineage, taken exclusively from local Tamaulipas farms, ensures their product is of uncompromising consistency, quality and flavor. The results are clear to taste. In 1983, Chinaco became the first premium tequila available in the United States.

Aged for 11 months in 35 year old French and English white oak scotch barrels which impart a gentle, woody character to the spirit. This tequila mixes beautifully, but also stands proudly on its own.

A golden light amber color, Chinaco Reposado has a generous nose of citrus zest, peach and apple, hinting of dill and quince. Clean, fresh flavors carry through on the palate, with full depth and balance, capped by a medium-long, lingering, fruity, spicy finish.
